Acrucial confidence building measure proposed by the Chinese Army in order to defuse tensions in eastern Ladakh has been violated by the Chinese side. The Chinese Army has consolidated its positions in eastern Ladakh and quietly, gradually increased troop numbers at the friction points along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) despite specifically proposing four months ago that the two sides should refrain from sending more troops to the troubled front.
करीब ढाई महीने के अंतराल के बाद भारत और चीन की सेनाओं ने कोर कमांडर स्तर की नौवें दौर की वार्ता की. इसका उद्देश्य पूर्वी लद्दाख में टकराव वाले सभी स्थानों से सैनिकों को हटाने की प्रक्रिया पर आगे बढ़ना है. हालांकि इस बीच खबर है कि करीब चार महीने पहले LAC पर और सैनिकों की तैनाती के अपने प्रस्ताव का चीन ने ही उल्लंघन किया है. इंडिया टुडे की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक चीनी सेना ने पूर्वी लद्दाख में अपनी स्थिति मजबूत की है और चुपके से अपने सैनिकों की संख्या भी बढ़ा दी है.
